BFA Convention

Just returned from BFA convention in Des Moines iA, the weekend relit the ifre under me to get some air under my feet. to bad the weather is not cooperating.

I also realize I have been neglecting this site, blog, whatever... I will try to post something balloon related at least every other day. Time to shake off the winter doldrums.

Balluminaria 2010

We participated in Balluminaria at Mirror Lake in Eden Park, Cincinnati. Brian Graham and his son Kyle crewed and Debbie took some great pictures. Great weather and lots of fun. Below is a link to the pics.

Abruzzo and Davis are still missing. Italian Coast Guard continues to search. An interview with Crew Member put out two scenarios. They exited the balloon to a life raft. The balloon now much lighter then flew on which is why the beacon never went off. Or, worst case, lighting struck the hydrogen filled balloon causing an explosion.

We've adopted Dug the Dog from the movie "Up!" as our official mascot but Chase doesn't look happy about it. Squirrel!

Neighborly Ballooning

Last night, our good friends at Bella Balloons had a location flight on our street. They launched from the neighbor's yard across the street. What a great anniversary present for them. Just so happened my friend Leslie was in town so we took her over there to watch the launch and help out a little. It was Leslie's first time up close to a balloon. A fun time was had by all.

Beautiful Weather

Just had a few days of beautiful weather, but unfortunetly, no flying for Suncatcher. My Crew Chief still has her arm in a sling after her bicycle crash during the Sunflower Ride. Poor Deb is still hurting. I could have asked around for crew but I didn't have the heart to leave her behind.
